Took this one this past weekend on Orcas Island. 4 second exposure to smooth out the water some. Tried some longer ones, too, but this one turned out best. Love that place.
"Another day signs off. Amazing to think of all that happened on its stage. How many smiles, how many tears, how many lives come, and how many lives gone on to their next chapter. May you be present within all of it."
its a nice moment but doesn't do a ton for me. that sun is just so overpowering theres not a ton of visual interest going on to make you look past it. you have 2 leading line going to the same destination, the sun streak and the log to the pier i think you did the best of what you had to work with I'm even guilty of getting caught up in a beautiful sunset and not realizing that its just a moment not a structured photo...case in point below
Thanks for the feedback, Joseph! I kind of liked the triangle created by pier / sun streak / log, but I understand your perspective. I may look at a couple of different crops and see if that makes a difference.
Must have been a great experience Per and regardless of whether the picture is technically great or not it will be a lasting memory, that moment. At least when you look at the picture again.I never tire of shooting great sunsets regardless. Joseph is raising some good points
