This was taken at a place called Coogee Beach on the coast of New South Wales, Australia.
You can see the Coogee Surf Lifesaving Club overlooking the ocean pool with Coogee Beach to the left. I havent been having much luck with sunrises lately but this morning luck was on my side :)
This are 2 photos stitched together in Lightroom
Looks so calm. How did you stitch the images together in Lightroom?
It was a calm morning Timothy :)
I just highlighted BOTH the 2 photos I wanted stitched on the LIBRARY page. Then go up to "PHOTO" click on it so it gives you the drop down. You then go down to "PHOTO MERGE" then to "PANORAMA" then just sit back and watch the magic happen :)
I THINK you have to have one of the latest Lightroom to be able to do it AND you have to make sure you have enough of each photo to overlap. I usually have about a 30% overlap in each single photo.
Hope that helps a bit mate :)
nice image you could probably make it a little more dramatic in post.
I didnt want to go too over the top with post processing Joseph :) Thanks for your comment
Nice work shane.
Glad you like it Geoff :)
It looks like a nice location and some great light. I'm not a huge fan of the big stone in the foreground and on the left. I think you could use the ones that are in the background, but stone in the foreground isn't really doing much for me. If you could get your camera onto the ledge I think you could open up the scene a little more.
Just my opinion, though.
I totally can see what you mean now that you pointed it out in your recommendation Jordan. I took a few more different angles where the large stone isnt int the photo. I will upload one shortly :)
I much appreciate your comment :)
Love the calm yet fiery colors and the reflection in the water. I disagree with making it more dramatic. It doesn't need to be. It's calm and warm. One thing though, maybe move to the right so to center more on the horizon and sunrise not the cement structure. Otherwise great shot.
G'day Przemek. You and Jordan are on the same wavelength with not having the huge cement block in the photo. I took a few different angles and I will put one of those photos up soon. I'm sure its what you saying to do.
As always I great appreciate your comment :)
Beautiful and dramatic without an over-the-top HDR look. Very nice.
Given the incredible stillness of the water, there is a small part of me that wants this to be more of a reflection shot with a little less foreground. I would almost never say that, and I very well may have shot this the same as you did, but looking at it, I think having more of that beautiful sky in the shot would've been breathtaking.
G'day Christopher. Im not a big fan of over the top HDR neither :)
As you may have read by Jordan & Przemek's comments you too have the same idea and views on how it could be made better :) I will upload another photo I took at a different angle in which the large cement block isnt in the front of the photo.
Thank you so much for your comment and thoughts, they are greatly appreciated :)
Terrific shot mate! I love the Ross Jones pool there. I'm with the guys about the concrete wall in the foreground a little too dominant.
