On a morning walk in southern Michigan, the crisp sunlight, blooming autumn colors, and the leading lines of a footbridge, all came together to help create this wonderful capture.
The issue here is that your leading lines lead to an out of focus tree. You really need to focus stack and bracket your exposures for this one (your highlights are blown, both the sun and the clouds).
With the sun still high in the sky there's no easy way of covering the full dynamic range, and it wouldn't make sense either.

Good spotting Russell. As Thorsten and Joseph say there are a few things making this a difficult shot to nail but it is memorising your walk and in 10 years time when you look at it you will remember how you felt while walking across the bridge.Mind you , you could have felt great or depressed, but you will remember it.

I'll add that the foreground is simply overwhelming compared to the supposed subject and distracts from it, rather than leading to it.
There's no shame in a blown out sun, at least not at the time of day the picture was taken.
adding to Nicks comment its nice to get that sunburst but like he said take several shots at different stops so you can limit or delete the blow outs
