My rarest Texas find to date. I WAS hovering around a bush trying to get a good capture of a Least Flycatcher when this little guy flew right in front of me. What a treat!
Great shot. Timothy. We have lots of warblers in Australia. There is one I hear all the time by rivers and in reeds but they are so hard to get a shot. They are called reed warblers surprisingly.
I found this though Timothy.
"Though the Palm Warbler’s name might imply it is a tropical bird, it’s actually one of the northernmost breeding of all warblers (only the Blackpoll Warbler breeds farther north). They got their name from J. P. Gmelin who named them based on a specimen collected on Hispaniola, a Caribbean island with a lot of palm trees."
nice grab

Hilarious! Because the Palm Warbler has NOTHING to do with palm trees. ;-)
