When you get the light...

That moment when you get the perfect light when you aren't expecting it! The weather lady wasn't that nice to us about the weather, when we got there it was amazing!
What do you think?

Great light and fog yeah. I would get rid of all the foreground vegetation though, crop in so you don't see it, it doesn't add anything here. That's what make your 4th shot the strongest of the bunch even though there's less spectacular light.

How about this?

And this?

Btw, how about the 2nd shot? Doesn't make thee vegatation a nice frame for the image?

I think the first one is better cropped in, for the second one yeah you're right cropping in wouldn't make it better. For the third one although it has the most striking light, the landscape itself lacks a bit of interest. You could have made the middle ground the foreground, and fill two thirds of the image with the sky. But it doesn't matter, one or two keepers is already great. If you like this type of landscape, with cloud inversion, I recommend visiting the gorges of Southern France : Gorges de l'Ardèche, Gorges du Tarn, or Gorges du Verdon.

I'll write those places down! Thanks for the tip!

great location nice shot these guys said it all

Thank you Joseph!

I think all the shots are pretty fantastic as is, but the suggestions in the comments aren't bad ones!

Amazing light and photos! well done!

Thank you Deleted User

Sometimes we have to create the magic, sometimes the magic comes to us! Great series of shots! And yes, I also like the second crops a little better.

I think these are all great. I like the new crop you made for the first picture and posted in the comments. This might just be me, but I think it might be worth cloning out those lights under the clouds.

As for the third picture, I think the yellows are a little too much, I think you could pull them back just a touch to make it look a little more subtle.

The fourth one is definitely my favourite.

Overall, some great conditions and shots. Great work!

Something like this for the third image?

I think that looks better, you might be able to drop the saturation just a touch because the other colors are really subtle but the yellows pop. that’s just a personal opinion, it’s possible other people might like it the way it is.
