I was driving around exploring Snæfellsjökull National Park and I spotted these two friendly horses in a field after a snowstorm, so I snapped a few photos.
Awesome shot. Wish I lived somewhere where I could get shots like this. I think it could be improved a bit if you brought up the contrast on the white horse. I wish I could see more detail in it.
Hi thanks Nathan! The shot was sort of rushed because I didn't want to miss the moment but I agree there are somethings I would love to make different about the photo. It was pretty much white out and the close to sunset
Yeah I know I can do that, but also at the end of the day I think it also comes down to personal preference and style :)

Thanks Isley. Very cute. I think I would be looking to not crop them quite so close. You may not have had time to think about that as they would have been moving their heads around.I once photographed a wedding party with two police horses forming a guard of honour.I got one shot with their heads in the right position. Not bad as I was shooting film and did not have much time to do it.On the other hand they might have been standing close to each other to keep warm.
Gorgeous! Love the juxtaposition of the two. (Thanks for reminding me I have Icelandic horse pics of my own to still edit...)
Thank you! They were so friendly and seemed to love each other, hence the closeness of the two horses. I was very happy though to get this shot :)

You can just select the white horse in lightroom with a selective adjustment brush and boost the contrast or blacks.

Thank you. I actually did get another wider shot but there heads weren't perfectly together like this in the other shot sadly :(
You still captured the moment and will always remember it. Perfection is mostly elusive.
very true
