Utah's badlands at it's best..this magic lasted only for 2mins as the clouds swallowed the sun as it rises. The soft light compliments the blue shale clay of the badlands that's what makes it unique and looks like a moonscape as what local people says.

Awesome, a little overcooked though.
thanks so much for the honest feedback appreciate it🤛🏽 I take note of that
Hello Aim,
Thanks for your post.
There is a distorsion between te horizon, very saturated and the foreground looking too brown. Maybe, it could be interresting too offer our eyes all these nice landforms making the landscape mysterious. I can see very interesting streamflow networks at the bottom of the potography.
This is just my opinion. Ad I'm not at all a profesionnal.
Best regards,
David
Thanks so much david for the CC appreciate it sir🙏The landscape is composed of blue shale clay. During blue hour it really looks blue. The brown in the foreground is the very moment the sun’s light hit the landscape. As always appreciate the feedback means a lot to me🙏Thanks again
Wow, what a place. Don't have anything remotely similar where I'm from.
I'm trying to figure out the physical scale of the landscape. It's messing with my head! The foreground at the very bottom looks super close, with pebbles and soil etc. But then it seems to magically leap into the far distance. But I guess it may be a trick of the eye and those pebbles could actually be boulders... is this from a cliff top?
Very dramatic in any case. A bit more brightness/contrast in the foreground would help make those amazing colours and details pop out I feel. I'd like to be able to see them more clearly.
Thanks for the feedback David..I really appreciate it. Yes this is from a cliff top. And those peebles are boulders. Regarding on brightness and contrast I will work on that thanks for pointing out🙏Have a great weekend
agree with whats been said ...but damn man thats a spectacular view..nice capture!
Thanks Joseph..agree with you the view here is spectacular. This is my first time posting here and so far loving the community’s response giving honest CC..that’s what I need to improve..have a great weekend man🤜
i have learned more in 3 months than any school i have attended in here so definitely stick around there are some great people and they are all willing to give you exactly what you need to hear to improve
for sure I will man..thank you
I really like this image but I think the sky is too over done. Go more subtle with the saturation and tone down the yellows and reds. Also the upper part of the sky looks too blue for the the way the sun is hitting those clouds, maybe add a little of warmth with a white balance brush? Did a quick edit in LR to your photo, is jpg so couldn't do much without starting to make it look weird, to desaturate the horizon and play with the WB.
P.S. In what part of Utah are these badlands?
Edit: just saw your Instagram version of it and like how you toned down the sky near the horizon, it looks super nice!!
thanks so much man.really appreciate your input here.and all the people here that gives there honest feedback..thats what I really need. this platform is better than other.people here are more helpful in giving CC.thank you again
