Aiguille du Midi Peak (France)

Two phtographies taken at the same point the same day. As the last sunrays cover the moutain slopes, detailed reliefs are discovered. So the texture of the pink granitic rocks appear, added to the colors of automn of the trees.
I wanted some of "basic" photographies with few post-processes.

I like the second one. In my opinion the first fights a focal point between the foliage at the front and the mountain

Thnaks a lot for your comment. I add that I wanted to enhance the mountain by creating a contrast in between the enlighted slopes and the cloudy foreground.

Yes i understand completely but the shot is half mountain and half slope having your horizon in the middle. Both subjects r beautiful and so the eye fights which to focus on. This is just my opinion - both r beautifully lit but second is my choice

Wow what a mountain! I love the first one. Having the forest i think gives it more of a sense of scale and I like the way the eye can travel up and down the image. I would say the top and bottom complement each other rather than compete.

im a fan of both... the detail shot is awesome!
