The Aletsch glacier (Switzerland)

This glacier is the longest european one (around 30km in lenght). I stiched 6 or 8 pictures to create this panoramic vision. Black moraine deposits enhance the shape of dynamic shape of this living landform capable of digging out wide valleys. What do you think about this photography and how make it better?

Awesome photograph!! The only thing that would make it better is if the glacier lines led to something. Not exactly doable though.

Hi David,
I have a few shots like this, like this unedited one from Glacier de l'Argentière. But I've grown to dislike the distorted feel that those big wide panoramas give, and in the end prefer something smaller, focusing on one part of the glacier. I like the mood though and feel like the strongest part of the image is on the right where the glacier gets lost in the fog. You also may be able to add contrast with the B&W conversion sliders in Photoshop.

Thanks for the advice I agree with. I wanted a.very dynamic photography, then necesarily distorted.
Back at Home i will try news crops you suggested.

I think it's a really nice image. My only thought is that it's really hard to grasp the scale of the place - if you could include a person somewhere in it I think it helps people connect with it and imagine themselves in the place.

That's right. But the glacier is so big, that a human would look almost invisible. In this place, there is no human setting or artifacts which could be taken for scale.
Howeverw, give an idea about the size of the glacier in adding a human is possible if the photography is shot closer, along the margins. I will when I'm back there!
