Laguna Beach sea dog.

Some blue hour seascaping in Laguna Beach. This cove is so awesome to just chill during a high tide. That wall coming from the bottom left was made 50+ years ago to create a sea pool. It's about 4 to 5 feet deep on the right during a high tide

I like the leading line, but I think you could raise the shadows a tad more, they still seem a little too dark for me.

Nice work.

Yeah, at times I struggle with the shadows. I prefer to error on the side of a more natural look, but you're right, I think 1/2 stop more would be fine.

Did you really have this combination of bright orange and pink ? Coz it feels a bit too fake, like you played with the tones too much.

In some places in the world, we are just lucky to have awesome sunsets/sunrises. I have personally seen many a sunset much more colorful than this

I have to second what Nathan said. In my experience, sunsets are usually dull here in Tokyo. I've been here almost 5 years and I've never photographed a good one. But the summer sunsets in my hometown (Vancouver) are often full of pinks, purples and oranges at the same time. On top of that it lasts a while, in every part of Japan I've visited, the sunset only lasts a handful of minutes.

It's possible he played with the colours a little bit, as we all do when we process, but this combination of colours isn't impossible.

I rarely go over 10 on vibrance and saturation in LightRoom, and that would hold true for this image. I do exposure blend using luminosity masks. On this image I used two exposures, so it's quite possible lights and darks blended into each other in what may appear an "unnatural" look to you. Thanks for the feedback.

Don't worry the saturation looks fine, it's definitely not overcooked. What seemed weird to me is that perfect layer of monochromatic pink, right next to the orange. The transition seemed very abrupt to me like you turned pink everything that was above the mushroom rock. But like Jordan said, sunsets change depending on the part of the world you're in so it could be natural. In my birth place in Bordeaux, sunsets can be very red, which they never were near my most recent hang out in Grenoble.

To me the right hand side with the cliff and the palm trees is redundant. I would crop it, but that's just being picky. It's a beautiful capture :)
