Silver Lake Sunrise Color Suggestions?

Hi there everyone. I took this shot not too long ago one morning. I was wondering if you think I should add any color to it... the color is as is. Any other CC would be welcome. Thanks

HiBrandon,
Yes I'd add some saturation to the clouds, bring out some more of the orange. You could be tempted to change the hue to magenta, but it'd look goofy in my opinion. Its a shame the snow doesn't blanket everything, it would then be a better shot, without the brown from the dead grass. It could work as black and white as well, if you adjust the sliders for b&w conversion in Photoshop to add contrast, especially between the trees and the mountains (it'll look flat grey otherwise).

Thanks for your input, I totally agree about the foreground, some leading lines might help too. I will post another view...I appreciate you. Thanks again.

Sorry Nick, I meant to upvote your comment and pressed downvote by mistake. I'm trying to figure out how to undo it.

Ok, I guess clicking on it again takes care of it.

Hi Brandon,

I think the foreground is a little too intrusive and doesn't do much for this image. I would also perhaps increase the contrast of the trees against the mountains in the background. Other than that, for post-processing, I would maybe dual tone it just a touch, blue for the shadows and water and gold for the highlights and clouds.

Here is a different perspective with more snow and no grass. Better composition?

I don't think the clouds are as nice in this image, but I like composition itself more in this image.

I like this composition a lot more, all the leading lines direct you to the peak of the mountain in the distance.
