2018 Historical lava eruption in Leilani Estates on the Big Island of Hawaii changes the topography of the island forever. (photo 1) "The Intersection" June 26, 2018. During an over flight of Fissure 8 lava channel I captured this abstract image. I fell in love with the way the it flows through the image as it takes you along with it. The vibrant colors of the lava draws you in and down out of the frame then leaves you wondering more about this image. I feel like after looking at it for awhile you then start to pick out details like the trees in the lower right corner now giving this image scale.
There are some really nice, once in a lifetime photos here. Must have been hot.

nice shots i wish i could see these in person wearing a heat proof suit haha...seriously though 1 and 3 are my favorites from an artistic standpoint 2 would probably be great for news or documentary style. either way bad ass photos nice job
