It is very rare for my part of the UK to get more than a very light sprinkle of snow. If it does snow then I am usually busy running the kids around to get out with the camera. On this day last winter I got stuck in a lane while a fallen tree was being cleared so took the opportunity to shoot. 7D2 and 100-400II from next to the car as the field is farm land. Not sure my processing is up to scratch. Was also not sure whether to leave in the buzzard feeding below the tree, or to clone it out. I was also not sure about what to do with the line of the hill behind the tree so all thoughts appreciated. Still, it was an enjoyable break from being dad’s taxi. Hopefully we will get some snow this coming winter.
This sort of scene makes for a nice image. I'm waiting for a bit of snow cover as I've located a small church that is isolated and will make a neat shot such as this one.
Great shot. I would edit out the bird and doge out the hill to isolate the tree and the shadow/snow texture in an all white world. Very nice.
Beautiful image. Definitely leave both in - those extra details are so subtle they do not detract at all, and give the eye something else to discover in the image after first glance.
I absolutely love it :)
Thanks to both for your comments. I have been on the road so not had time to be at the computer with anything but my iPad to try any edits. Very interesting how some say leave those elements and some say edit them. A few other have said similar and it does seem fifty fifty whether to edit or not.
