so my neighbor calls me and gives me a star wars reference as to the fact that the moon is fully illuminated by the sun i went in a grabbed the camera and got this...
Anybody else have a nice daytime moon shot?
The ones I took were about 3 or later in the afternoon. More recently when watching a live telecast of Test Match cricket in Australia the TV cameras sometimes zoomed in on daylight shots of the moon.
This is really a daylight fill flash portrait Joseph of the man in the moon.A sunpak flash obviously.I think the left side needs to be lightened a little.
Thanks Daniel since this was behind my house comp was a struggle and I didn’t just want a pic of the sky I had the branches lighter but felt the contrast actually made the moon appear brighter
Good work Joseph.Yes I have similar shots but they are in my archives somewhere. I took some in the Flinders Ranges some time ago.
I've seen it regularly in the morning but not that i remember at 3 in the afternoon

Joseph, you remind me of the movie industry that has maximally exploited similar scenes with shifting of the focus point :)

Nice one! Maybe lifting the shadows a little bit on the branches in front would balance it a bit more. But I like the different layers!
