Shot this from a small island village called Kadamakkudy. People here are mostly fishermen and they use this kind of small wooden boats and some rare net system to catch fishes.
This image is a blend of three exposures and I would like to hear what all you guys thinking about this shot.
Thanks
This bright part right up to the horizon (maybe to much contrast) and part of the tree to the right in the frame bothers me the most.
Lovely capture!
It's a beautiful and striking image, Shynesh. For my tastes, it looks a bit overtly manipulated, that colourful basket somehow not blending with the rest of the image, as if it's glowing a bit, resulting in a slightly unnatural look. But who says it has to look natural? You are free to do what feels right for you.
I'm inclined to agree with Radisa about the tree, and for me the image is a bit too symmetrical with that basket so nearly centred. These compositional issues could probably have been resolved if you'd moved a few inches to the right, backed off a few inches or zoomed out a little, and angled the camera slightly to the left, putting the basket off-centre and removing that bit of tree on the right. (Retreating or zooming out to fit the basket in off-centre without it looking jammed-in.)
It's still a beautiful image, but since you ask... :-) Thanks for posting.
Here are some behind scene shots :)
You certainly suffered for your art! I feel like having a cool shower just looking at these. Mozzies as well? A Benbo tripod would've been handy - but maybe not at 3.5kg without head...
i like the shot i enjoy all the colors and reflections. i would remove the tree creeping in on the right as well there isn't enough there to be important or help in framing. the neon yellow on the second boats basket is a bit distracting but i do realize they are actually that bright
Nice image - does not look over manipulated/processed. I would remove the tree on the right. Good shot.
