Well, here is my contribution to last night's moon.
It was cloudy here during the eclipse itself hence only one shot of it which was just a test (in fact it was to try and figure out where the moon actually was since it was no brighter than a star to the eye with all the cloud). Before that however I had a fun time with the full moon. It was so bright thanks to the snow that I could read the focus distances on my lens with the naked eye and shoot at ISO 100 with a 30s exposure.
I'm not that thrilled by these shots - not up to my usual standard I feel and the compositions all leave several things to be desired. But then I didn't really plan on being out and headed set off at about 11pm. Shot until midnight then went to bed in the van until 4.30am to discover it had gone cloudy. Next time :)
i agree not your best but at least you got out to experiment and that's what really matters.
on 1 i would make a square crop of it just above the big rock
2 i actually really like that halo effect could try and play around with it see if you can get something abstract out of it
3 is workable just a bit of post processing
4 i think i would manipulate into a pano and have a play with different colors
cheers Joseph - not going to do anything else with these to be honest, just thought I'd share them to show I'm still alive ;)
lol where was this looks beautiful
It's Loch Morlich - Cairngorms National Park, 15 min drive from my house. I only ever shoot it at night or in bad weather these days as it's always heaving with tourists during the day.
