Need Advice!

I am mostly doing landscape photography right now but am still using a canon 20d.https://www.cnet.com/reviews/canon-eos-20d-review/
I have the 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 lens and the 70-300mm f3.5-5.6
I also recently got the so called "nifty fifty"
I really need advice on what camera I should upgrade to. I have been split between buying a proffesional line camera versus buying a t series canon.
I'd like to keep it under $800
Any advice?

Go used and get the best you can afford. KEH is a good company. Your local camera store might have some good used cameras. Also call Ace Photo in Ashburn, Va., Roberts Camera in Indianapolis, Hunt's Photo and Video in Boston, and check Adorama and B&H for their used inventory. You could start with the lenses you have. Take some workshops and see online courses like CreativeLive.com to see what they can teach you about landscape photography.

I have taken 10-15 hours of photography training online. I know a good amount of the basics but really just can't decide what to buy next. Also I bought all of my gear so far used. It is sooo much better when you do that. A fraction of the price!

i know nothing about canon all i can say is know your budget and what you intend to use it for. are you trying to get into this as a profession or simply having fun and want better quality.
i posted this same dialog the other day and had an overwhelming response and i gather you will to.
i looked at new glass vs. new camera new glass won due to the fact that you can't shoot ff with APS-C lenses but you can shoot ff lenses on an aps-c camera, and as there will be new models coming out this year im hoping for price drops on factory refurbished models to get a better deal.
just look around on all sites even eBay has some great deals.

found this on b&h

either of these would most likely be a huge upgrade

I know that i don't want to go that far up the chain, but the camera i have is over 10 years old and has a 2-3 inch screen. It is only 12 megapixels. I really only want to upgrade to the base that everyone else has right now. I wanted to go to the t6 (18megapixels) but the full-frame 5d mk II was only 200 dollars more.
Then I realized that there were so many options in my range and need advice.

dude you can get lost in all the options i certainly have lol but your budget certainly allows you to get a good upgrade

Buy secondhand but insist on a shutter count (= usage) and all the paperwork, boxes etc. Pay careful attention to camera body to see how it has been looked after. I know many that are careless with their equipment and had dropped it and bashed it etc. Condition is all. Do not pay extra for good condition but avoid marked bodies in all cases.

These days you can pick up pro level dslrs that are a few years old at ridiculously cheap prices. I've always been Nikon but I might well get myself a Canon 5D Mark 1 soon just for fun. It's 12 years old but 12MP is plenty for screen use and the full frame sensor is brilliant with some good glass on the front.

Have a good rummage on mbp.com and see what you can find :)
