A photo I took this past fall of a beautiful grove of unique curved aspens. These trees have become popular among local photographers but were still difficult to find.
Interesting indeed. The only possible explanation I could offer is that the uniform deformity is man-made - perhaps wiring young saplings as they do Bonsai to force a growth form.
Oh lovely! Looks like it was caused by a wind/ice storm a few decades ago?

During my forest journeys I have noticed something similar, but not to such an extent. Very unusual and interesting, well captured!

From what I've heard and read, people seem to believe it was caused by a landslide.
I really like the lighting in this, the trees look to pop out from the background.
