Santorini sunset light

I took this picture in Santorini, Greece. I loved the light that day and when I say the church on the island, I realized that I should use it for scale, while also using the island in the distance to balance the image.

Feedback welcome.

simple... but I like it :D nice work :)

This is a very nice image. The hazy sunrise/sunset gives a wonderful golden glow to the scene and creates a sense of depth in the image.
I also feel that the two landmasses balance the picture well.

My only negative comment concerns the church if that is the building at the top of the foreground mass. For me it looks way too bright to be natural and acts to distract from rather than support the image. I understand how you may feel this helps with scale but for me it doesn't work as it is too small to be recognized for what it is.

Lovely shot otherwise.

Thank you for your feedback! I always like to have my photos critiqued by peers.

I get what you mean. I know it contrast from the rock, but the reason is not editing, but really how the scene looked, since the black rock is volcanic so when backlit, it is very dark compared to the white church.

That sounds good Marc-Andre. I probably would neither noticed nor commented on it were it not for the fact that you mentioned its use in the image.
It remains a lovely, tranquil image.
