I quite like it, Edward. It seems to have added interest as the figure looks darker than the trees, which doesn't simply look unnatural, as I might have expected. An interesting idea, unless my eyes deceive me! Post some more.
Another interesting point is that, to me, she appears tall when the image is looked at as a whole but when you compare her to the handrail closest to her, she is petite. I like this image. The linear aspect of the trees is great. Nice work!
