Sky Replaced?

Hello,
I replaced the sky in this photo and am looking for some feedback. I'm not the greatest with photoshop. Mostly just wondering if the color balance of the photo looks normal? Does the photo look fake/could you tell the sky was replaced if you didn't already know? Also open to any other suggestions.

Thanks!

Without looking at a higher resolution version at great magnification, it's difficult to tell how successful the masking was. The difficulty of replacing the sky will almost always be placing the sun so the shadows look natural. It appears that you have successfully accomplished masking, color balance, and sun placement.

Also hard to tell here .. but always best to flash foreground with same color temperature as background.
Looks good.

Great composition. It's not easy to tell it was a sky replacement, but it is easy to tell that you did some processing. For my taste the sky is way too wild compared to the rest of the shot. I absolutely love the rest of the image and think it would benefit from a sky that has a more relaxed color palette.

I don't know that I'd realize it at first glance, but if I looked at it for awhile, I'd figure it out.

Masking and white balance look good.

The biggest giveaway is the light on the left side of the lighthouse that indicates direct sunlight from the left, probably out of the frame, but the background shows the sun at or below the horizon and in the left third of the frame. If the sun were actually there, the trees behind the lighthouse would be throwing shadows across the bottom half of the tower and more of the tower would be in its own shadow. Also, both fences on the right indicate direct sunlight, although this could be due to some dodging or other exposure adjustments.

Still, it's a pleasing image.

Thanks! The masking and balance are what I was most concerned about, to get it to look right. But I knew there was something else that just didn’t quite look right. Thanks for the feedback!

I've been looking at the picture for a while and had the same feeling; the light in the sky and ground do not really match, as Phillip said.
I think you did a great job with the masking and balancing tones. Thanks for sharing.

@Kyle, the play of colours kept me busy and enjoyed the frame.
@Phillip, learning yet another dimension of PP.

thanks.

It does look odd at first glance, Kyle.
