Tree reflection falling on water waves prompted me for this composition and frame. was taken about 30 minutes past sunrise.
Faced couple of challenges. The sky was absolutely plain. Could not understand how to make it complementing the water. Second, even manually focusing and using all the tricks, did not get the desired sharpness for the tree.

I think you could add a simple gradient to the sky to offset and compliment the gradient in the water.

I really like the softness of the background. While I enjoy the effect of the ripples on the reflection and think that was a good choice, I'd also be curious to know what a long exposure of the water would have looked like. It would make an interesting complement to the look of the horizon.
