Great image David! You have a nice eye for composition. I have no suggestions for you - this is really nice!

Thank you very much Ruth Carll

As Ruth says, a fine image, with a powerful composition. I didn't see at first that it was just before sunset, until I read your note.

I think this is because of the overall sense of brightness, and the generally vivid colours in this image. I see in your portfolio that you prefer vibrant colours, as many people do, more than I tend to.

Bear this in mind in the edit, where I've tried to add to the sunset mood. I've darkened the shadows, which emphasises some nice rim lighting you could make more of, in my view. I've also changed the sky, which has an unnatural hue to my eye, as well as being very vivid considering the hour. You may well find my colours insipid! Mine is just an alternative "take". Post more!

Interestingly, I didn't notice the halo as much until I saw your edits Chris. Now I'm surprised I missed it.

David, I like your original. If you pull back the blues a little you can probably get rid of it. Or reduce it anyway.

Still nice.

I like the image, maybe too colourful and less shadows than my style but definetely a beautiful image to print...I would desaturate the blue a bit and put some shadows to the ground to look mysterious
