Probably the most common feedback I give people is to let their image breath a little and provide space for the subject to take action (Ie don't crop so tightly) Well in the interest of fairness, I know that can't always happen. Here is an example.
While walking through the yard of a house whose garden I am taking care of, I saw a small pile of dirt under some brush. I assumed it was something like a ground hog digging a new burrow so I bent down to take a look. And it looked right back at me! This little cutie was so well camouflaged that I almost didn't get what I was looking at while we were practically nose to nose. I jumped up. And, because I almost always have a camera, whipped it out, squatted down and snapped a quick photo. Then I left quickly because I didn't want to freak him out. This is what I got! Tight crop and all. So, sometime good composition loses out to what you get.
I know this isn't a great shot. I just wanted to share the story and the sighting! But - if you'd like to give feedback, its always welcome.
Beautiful. Sometimes it isn't the the technical part of the pic that speaks but the moment.
It's fantastic what surprises the woods occasionally give up. Nature has a beautiful way of tricking our eyes in plain sight. Great reaction for this capture. Nice lighting also. (There, I critiqued:))
And I liked it!
:)
Sometimes the mundan is always beautiful.....
I really wish you could have posed that fawn a little better, and your DOF is just off, and why is he frowning??...just kidding! How fun to just walk up on this little guy!
Ha! Funny Shawn. I tried to make funny faces and get a smile but no luck. :)
Super cuteness always wins the day.
