Eastern Sierra Under a Full Moon

Long Exposure of the Sierra, taken late at night under a full moon. I got a little extra cast-off light on the rocks in the foreground from my campfire that was burning 30 or so feet away.

That's a nice nightscape of the Eastern Sierra. I think you're confusing Lone Pine Peak with Mt. Whitney. The peak on the 1/3 left of the image, (that looks like a pyramid), is Lone Pine Peak. Mt Whitney is not visible in this image. It would be roughly in the middle, but is hidden behind the clouds.

Ha oh man thanks for letting me know! Title adjusted.

No problem. Now to really get your head spinning, technically, it's Eastern Sierra, not "Sierras".

Eventually I will title this photo correctly. Haha thank you! Title adjusted... again.

Find this so appealing. A very well done long exposure. Neat seeing the star specs in the sky. I even like the campfire adding subtle light to the foreground, think it helps draw my eye down the rocks to the mountains. I like everything about this picture. Very nice!

Beautiful! Just waiting for Tioga Road to open so that I can get over there - without driving all the way around the southern end, that is.

Thank you! It should be opening up soon, no?

Beautiful capture Mike

Outstanding! Can't think of a single suggestion except please post more!
