Up hours before sunrise and a two hour drive to the Timpanogos mountains and one of our favorite hikes at Stewart Falls. Located just past the famous Robert Redford Sundance resort, this is a very popular hike with families hence the early arrival time for us. My wife and I like to beat the crowds otherwise it is truly insane to go and the heat becomes pretty ferocious as the morning goes on. And this winter with the massive snowfalls we received, one noticed the flattened trees crushed by the sheer volume of snow. The sound of a distant train turned out to be the falls just ROARING, so much energy fueled by the melting snow. In our five years in Utah we've never seen Stewart falls like this, just off the charts. As we finally departed the crowds were arriving...where the rainbow falls.
