Many Tries...

I planned to do this shot mounth ago, and after many tries, I got it ! I spent a lot of time to get it, and encounter many problems. In May and June there was too many water, it was impossible to shot it, because the water spray was to heavy and it was impossible to keep the lens dry. And in July the Moon was to shine or some clouds came during the night.... But yesterday, all conditions was present. No doubt, I was oblige to try one more time. So after my day work, I took my car to reach the location and I spent my night front of this amazing waterfall.

Please let me know what do you think ?
And what's the most wanted pictures of your will. Have you spent a lot of time to get it ?

Thanks a lot in advance for your feedback.

Kind Regards,

Fabrice

Looks really good. Well exposed, and some nice detail.
One minor thing, you have a sensor spot on the water, near the bottom center. Overall, some really nice work.

As for my photos, the one I captured that took the most tries was my image of Enoshima Island with Mount Fuji at sunset. It look me a few months and about 4 failed attempts before finally getting decent enough conditions. (It's the one at the bottom of this post). It's good enough for now, but I'll probably end up taking a few more cracks at it, perhaps during sunrise.

As for the one I've been waiting the longest for, but still haven't captured, it's a chance to shoot the Milky Way here in Japan. I'm in year 3 of canceled trips, with my last two chances coming up in August.

Thanks for the dust spot, it's corrected right now ;)

Wow, this shot is amazing, the light is so sweet. Well done Jordan. Hope you will get what you want in August. Feel free to share it with us when you are back ;)

Amazing shot !, well planned.

Thanks Idan

OMG. SPECTACULAR 5 STARS

Thanks, that's very kind.

A beautiful, well-composed and striking image, Fabrice. Apart from the dust spot, the general observation I would make about the image is that it looks spectacular and dramatic, rather than natural.

There is nothing wrong with this, and I assume that to a degree that was your intention. The most unnatural-looking thing to me which I find unsettling is the bright zone parallelling the treeline, which also gives me an impression as if there might be a large city with bright lights just over the hill.

This just reflects my personal view and tastes, and does not diminish what you have achieved.

I have visited Wannon Falls repeatedly, and usually there is just a trickle of water, occasionally thundering brown cascades, but this day the water was just right, and the sunlight on the spray was the icing on the cake.

Thanks Chris for your feedback. I appricate your honesty. Yes, in deed, there is a big city behind a mountain far away, but the light pollution was very high, and I disaturated it, and that's why you feel it a lil but unatural.

For your shot, it's very well composed, and I like the water drawing at the hend of the waterfall. The light is very smooth, and I got it at the right point. Waterfall is one of my favorit subject. I'm a lucky guy, because there is a lot in my area. I made a profolio of waterfall in my web site. Feel free to visit it. There is the link of my profile.

Thanks once again for your feedback.

Many thanks for your words William.

beautiful capture well worth the wait!!!
