I agree with Ralph's comment, Ray. The first image has an appealing mood, but somehow my eye wanders around a bit, not sure where to stop. Perhaps it's because the is no distinctive focal point; if that skyline tree in the middle were a house top, there would be a "story" - the path to... This is slightly frustrating as in many ways the image really appeals - and you did put it first!
Both images are well composed and processed to my eye.
The second photo has a great atmosphere to it. Good composition. Well done.
