So, in my opinion, there a couple things I would've done different. First, move the driftwood more left. It's damn near dead center and distraction. Second, I would've stepped back further to put the driftwood further away. It's taking up too much space in the photo. After I did those things, I would probably crop out some of the bottom area and go for a 16x9 ratio.
It's a good effort, and a cool scene. And the driftwood makes for a great subject of the photo, but more of the landscape helps develop that scene for the driftwood to be apart of.
To my eye, this image seems like two superimposed and competing images, the driftwood and the landscape, Sridhar. Jeff's idea of stepping back could create the opportunity for an image of interesting driftwood in its context - depending on what's out of shot. You were there, we weren't!
