yeah for sure, I have been to Banff before, and always regretted not going, so this time around it was a must, and yeah it was worth it! its so calm and beautiful!
For me the trees in the foreground intrude on the scene too much. I'd prefer them to be below the mountains. That said, it depends on what vantage points are available to begin with. A beautiful scene nonetheless. Will be there in a couple of weeks to see for myself. Did you have to worry about bears when moving around so early in the morning?
Hi Ian. You'll find the parking lot will be full an hour before sunrise. There will be so many people you won't have to think about bears. Carry bear spray, but don't take it over the border. This photo was taken about 100 feet from the parking lot, on a viewing platform, I believe. There are different compositions available along the right hand side of the lake.
