"...and Nature...", Mike, so you're OK! Love this - the diagonal composition, the dark tones, the droplet & leaf textures, the shallow DOF and that beautiful, seductive green. Great job! Your best so far. Well seen, as the saying goes, in the first place.
I love this and am reluctant to nit-pick at all. However, since you've used a 2:3 aspect ratio sensor camera, you must've cropped. I think with such a steeply sloping diagonal, the image could be taller, unless you had to crop out distracting elements. If not, I'd be interested to see the uncropped version. I think that sometimes the vision we see in the viewfinder has the most integrity, and has the most satisfying composition.
Thanks Chris, feedback is always welcome and I try and take something constructive from all comments. You are right, I played with a number of ratios and settled on this one. There was some greenery to the right and a small bug which I found distracting. below is the original JPGd
I'd be interested to see. I hoped it might have been a vertical frame originally. Your post-processing certainly increases the subtle impact and appeal of the original file.
BTW in case you don't know, Mike, as the original poster you can add more images on the left, and edit the text.

Looking at it, I may cut again but leave the green to the left, may be useful as stock image with room for copy.
