If your software supports Luminosity Masking, you can add a gradient that will affect only the brighter parts of the sky that you want to tone down without also darkening parts of the scene that may protrude into the sky, e.g. the trees here. That helps to hide the processing and make it look more natural if you do it carefully.
I think maybe this would be a little better composed if you had moved closer to the stream to exclude all the rather boring rocks at the bottom and just use the lines of the river banks to guide the viewer to the background mountain. Getting closer may also have moved the trees on the right and left closer to their respective edges and opened up the background a bit. My eyes want to follow the stream, but it doesn't really go anywhere.
Perhaps you might prefer that one then? I'm somehow not as pleased with the clouds here, but I will try to reedit it when I have the time. Maybe it's just the edit that bugs me haha
It's a very busy picture, You should really simplify it I think. Less trees, remove the antenna on the right, wait for better light, search for a better vantage point...
it's great capture, but HDR is too much
Doesn't look like HDR to me. I'm guessing you used a gradient filter on the lens or in post to darken the upper part of the image.
My gripe would be the annoying tree in the upper-left corner.
Gradient filter was added in post. I agree with you should have kept it more simple

I like the position of the stream, but now the left tree is even worse. LOL.
Haha damn

Was in a quite dark valley unfortunatly. Thanks for the tips!
