The autumn vibes

Check out my latest shoot taken in the forest. I'd appreciate for your critiques. ^_^

It's an appealing image, Andrei. Since you ask, a couple of things strike me.

Firstly the path occupies so much of the image that the trees feel squeezed out, especially on the left. A slightly wider focal length, and/or stepping a small pace to the right might have helped.

Secondly, the foreground is distractingly out of focus. The crisp leafy texture is then lost, and it looks a bit like mud or porridge! You seem to have shot at ISO 250, 110mm, wide open. I'd like to have stopped down to at least f/11 for this focal length here, which would require ISO 4000 for the same exposure and introduce some noise, not necessarily a deal-breaker. VR or a tripod would help, and you could've reduced exposure, as your highlights are a bit maxed-out.

Finally, you were there & I wasn't, but it's all a bit pinky to me. I'd shift the colour balance towards yellow, and a touch towards green, giving more of the feeling of warm low sunlight.

Hope I'm not too negative! You're not far off a great shot here.

Hi Chris Jablonski ! Thank you so much, for such a detailed feedback! I really appreciate that! 👍

I would crop the bottom, out of focus, to the first tree on the left. Nice image!
