"Landscape Photography is about seeing the light and responding.” - Kreyg Scott. I was on my way to another location for a pre planned landscape shoot when I suddenly noticed the light interacting with the side of this mountain. Knowing it would soon be sunset and the light would be over I rushed to a location I had previously visited with the mountains in view and reflected in the water hoping to make an epic image. Much to my delight I saw a small amount of mist slowly making it's way across the lake which for this time of day was quite unusual. I knew this would not last so I quickly unpacked my camera bag and reached for my 10-22mm lens to include a bit of foreground which would anchor the image and lead the viewer into the mountains. To create some contrast and mood to the scene I attached my Formatt Hitech Firecrest CP Filter as well as a 2-Stop ND Grad filter just to pull back the exposure in the clouds and enhance the foreground. The end result is an image I haven't quite named yet but am happy with and proudly share.
