Water in the alps

Water is always and everywhere in the alps and makes places especial.
What do you prefer: Standing or flowing waters?

Hi Thomas. Just my 2c.....The top has too much gradient filter that does not have the same tone in the water reflection, it needs to look more realistic. Honestly, to me top photo is spoilt with your name at the bottom

Thank you very much Ralf for your comment. Still learning...😉

Hey Thomas, I assume you have Lightroom or somesuch photo software.... jump onto YouTube and learn how to brush erase after you have applied a gradient filter. It will help your skills a lot. Ralph

Another option is to undo the work done and look at an option to use the different layers of grey in the mountains.

Thank you Ralph, I will try these things👍

Both are nice. I prefer the bottom because it has more going on and better colors. In addition to what Ralph said I would suggest dodging and burning for both photos to get some more drama. They're both nice scenes but IMHO they could be great with a few touches of light and dark's.

Thanks a lot Elizabeth for your opinion. That helps me to look forward. I will try your tips👍

I really like the bottom image, you were in a super part of Germany(?)..... but there is too much going on and I find the red stone is a distraction.

It is in Austria, near the german border.
Your right, its a bit too nervous.
