Going through some old photos last night and came across this one and thought it would look cool in black and white. I may have made it too dark but I think I kind of like it that way. What do you think?
I struggled with this my self. You can't really tell in this photo but the pier is in shambles. Half of it is missing. It's been battered from hurricanes so I'm guessing that's why the pier seems tilted. Here is a picture from the side of what it looks like.
Oh wow, that’s a mess! Honestly when you add the backstory, it adds to the character of the shot. I know a lot of photographers want to regulate everything in their images so it’s PERFECT, but our world isn’t perfect and capturing those imperfections are still valid and important expressions. ❤️
A tad too dark maybe and I find the people in the first third a bit distracting. But I'm crazy so don't listen to me. ;) Cool photo.
The horizon line is straight but to me the planks seem ever so slightly tilted; it’s a tad unsettling but I like it very much. Thanks for posting!
