Upload quality.

Apologies if this question has been asked before, but what quality is everyone uploading their work at within this group. I have uploaded my images at Instagram quality, is this ideal? I am a newbie to Fstopper, be gentle. ;)

I have only uploaded larger jpg's... For portfolio I would not upload Instagram quality but it's your choice. I'm a newbie here too, so welcome!

I am hesitant to upload in full quality, it is possible to download images from the Fstoppers site.

I figure no one wants my stuff, lol. But seriously, if its a concern to you then upload what you like. Especially for discussion board posts its not necessary to go big.

I don't limit the quality, just the size. I typically output my images at 3000 px at the long end. Only reason is I don't feel like producing different quality levels for different sites knowing they are going get resized and compressed anyways.

From what I can tell:

--Horizontals are resized max 1500 px long
--Verticals at max 1200 px long
--Files size wise, depends probably by the image detail. Most of my images start off an average of 7 megs. When the site compresses them, they range from 432 kb to 1.2 megs.
--PPI is not reduced.
