Sugarloaf Rock, Cape Naturaliste, Western Australia
Finally got 2 hours to myself to scope out a composition of a decent view. I very much consider myself an amateur and I learnt a whole lot with this picture and the mistakes I made. So I'm happy about that.
I really like the composition, it nicely draws the eye towards the sea stack in the centre of the frame. The foreground is tack sharp! The warm tones work well with the scene and to me it seems they add to the feel.
However, I'm not sure what's going on with the rocks and the sky in the upper left corner / between the rocks and the sea stack. The colours seem somewhat funky to me. There is that blueish circle in the middle of all the peach, but the water is almost yellow below that spot. The edge of the rocks seem to suffer from the same issue. Not quite sure, but is that perhaps the result of post-processing? Judging by the water below the area, perhaps blending? I'd dial back on the yellow a little.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. The sky is a replacement and where those funky colours are is where the sun was over powering everything (It's also slightly blurry). I'll see if I can fix it in post, or I might just go back to the original sky (there wasn't a cloud in sight). This isn't fixed it's just the original.
