This shot was made last year when I made all the north coast of Spain. This spot is so amazing when you have this kind of myst. It was a lil bit hard to find a good composition, foerst ar not a easy subject for me. I need to walk and feel the forest to be inspired, and it take a lil bit of time. Do you have the same dificulty like me to shot forest ?
I love it! Good eye and composition. The mist really adds to this image.
Thanks that' very kind
Yes. When I keep expecting Merlin or King Arthur to come riding by. Then I know I am in a special place.
Yeah exactly, I agree 😉
For once I think it'd be a much better picture if you removed the person. He stands tilted, and has a distracting blue hiking jacket that doesn't really go with the mystic and mysterious atmosphere of the forest. Coz otherwise I think it's a great composition.
Thanks for the feedback. My goal was to pit somebody in the frame, so that's why I stand on the frame. But maybe if I was deep on the wood it was better. For the jacket, next time i will bring a yellow one 😅
Thanks for the feedback. No Damsel was present this day unfortunatly 😂
Nice shot. Wondering how this would have looked with your subject farther off and actually in the mist. Great spot to revisit and experiment.
Fantastic lines... the curve of the creek bed, the trees, and the mysterious element of the mist. A fine image!
I love the dreamy feel. However, I also agree with another comment -- the person is a little distracting and doesn't fit. I can see why you have him there -- balance would tilt a little to the left without him. I'm tempted to try moving him farther away, perhaps interacting with a distant tree. That way he is less distracting, but still a main subject, and the stream leads toward him rather than simply past him. It would also help to have a less modern outfit for something like this -- perhaps a knit sweater would go well with the scene.
Also, besides interacting with a tree, I could also see the person walking away, into the mist, towards the same distant trees the stream leads you to. Essentially, I am trying to find a way to create a story.
