A red dot in middle of nowhere

This photo is the first, and for now, only photo that I could frame and analyze in my head before I took the shoot. I selected the right settings, went to the right spot and used the right prime lens before I even pressed the button. It was a really nice feeling to master a frame like this and I'm very pleased with the result. This is a SOOC with a Kodachrome preset in my Fujifilm X-H1, using fujinon 35mm f1.4.

It would be really fun to hear your opinion. I still got a RAW-file, but I've never touched it. :)

Really like this. I am a funghi fan and they present some really nice shot opportunities. I like the size contrast and the colour between the red and green/dark forest is great. Would I up the vibrance a tad, maybe.

Thanks Mike, as this is a SOOC I haven't done anything with it. But I think the colour balance is pretty spot on :)

SOOC? - Googled. Straight Out of Camera.

Yes, SOOC. Just the JPEG direkt from the camera :)

Thank you for the Google. :)

Click bait. I thought the red dot was referring to Leica and that's why I clicked.

Just joking. Nice image. Love the red dot and bokeh.

You got me there! 😅 First I thought, "Hey... What?"

Thanks for the feedback :D

I have a red dot photo of the dog chasing a laser light. Figured that would be the theme here. What fun to see the mushroom, unexpected.

First impression... love the contrast of small mushroom to tall trees. Closer look... it'd be nice to see the mushroom in crisper focus against the bokeh of your background. It's great fun to plan out an idea and bring it to life. Keep shooting. :)

The preset has some noice in it to replicate film-shoting (Kodachrome). So it's not supposed to be Razer blade sharp :D

Thanks for the input ❤️

Ah. Got it. I respect the style.

Yes, a slight "tweaking" of vibrancy should be all it needs, limited to the shroom and lighted ground. I don't like over processed photos. Nice composition, lighting, and selective focusing (control of depth of field). The photo tells a story of where it is and its lonely vigil.

Thanks for the input Gary! :D

That's a cool feeling when it all comes together, and it's a nice shot. I love the film look- it's nicely done. The only thing I would change is the crop, as I think the Mushroom should take up more space.

Thanks! :) Hmm, never thought of that. The mushroom takes it's space with the color in my eyes. But, nothings wrong, so that could be a good idea! :)

Perfect !!!😁

Thanks Tony! <3
