A moody sunset over Castle Rock, in the Western Cape province of South Africa. I edited these in colour and also in black and white. Constructive criticism most welcome!
Beautiful work. It looks like some otherworldly spaceship. The black and white image at the end is my favorite. The very first image is a close second. The color is extremely beautiful, but I would have left a little more foreground as in the last black and white image. What makes this composition work for me is it is very clean and balanced. Clear central subject, and a nice curve in the sea floor that leads you towards it from the foreground.
I'd second yuris arguments, but can't decide between #1 and #4. while #1 is my favorite colorwise, the foreground conveys the impression of being unintentionally cropped...
As yuri said, #4 could also have used a little more foreground to strengthen the vertical dark-light-dark-light-dark kind of gradient across the image.
Overall, good job!
Hmmm. I love the colors in the first shot. The foreground seems choppy. Maybe see how the image would look with the rock outcropping gone?
Number two. Nice. Good leading lines in sky and beach angles. Subtle, but compelling. B&W... classy.
Number three. Water color amazing. Chopped off castle, not so much. It's kinda like cutting off Uncle Bob's head in a family photo.
Number four. I think there's enough foreground rock to pull it off, but my brain still wonders what a couple more inches in frame would look like. The long exposure water... very nice.
There ya go. Now you know I can count to four. 🤪

I like the color version. Feels cold and eerie.

Top one and bottom one. Very nice pix.
