Took this photo in the summer when I,d bought myself a macro lens ( I have absolutely no experience in macro ).I rather like the fact that only parts of the bee are in focus but wondered if anyone else thinks it works or if it,s just a rubbish shot !!! 😁Would be interested in your views
Macro with this narrow of a depth is very difficult out in the wild and hand-held. That said, technically it is a nice shot in that respect.. But you got the tuckus and not the head (easier said then done, I know.. heh).. :)
Is this the full frame, or a crop-in?
Thanks for taking the time to reply Joe....I remember when I took the photo I was trying to capture the little fellow being busy and collecting all that pollen on his legs !! Whether I was successful is debatable though !!!! ...I did crop in .
I have a shot of two bumble bee tuckuses... er... in tandem. It might be an NSFW, though. And not nearly as crisp as Tony's bee. :)
I believe the plural version of Tuckus is Tucki, like Fungus and Fungi... lol :P

Not a macro skilled type, but it's still an interesting shot to me. Who knew bees were furry? Haha
