Giulio Roman's picture

Christmas sunset on the Ulten valley

This afternoon I happened to be in Hafling, South Tyrol, with my Z6 and my 50mm Nikkor F/1.4.

Light was pretty amazing but my position did not allowed me to catch anything more than this, though I am really, really, pleased by the result.

Other than some clarity added to the sky, and 1EV added to the bottom part of the frame, I color graded the dark tones adding a little bit of blue, but the highlights in the sky were left intact.

Let me know what you think. Any advices are welcome, both on the "pure" photographic stand point, as well on the post production side.

Merry Christmas

Hi Giulio. What a lovely photo, I like it a lot, especially the colours.
To be critical the top is super bright and the bottom is super dark making it a little difficult to look at it. On saying that.... it would be a good B&W photo

thanks for the feedback
