Managed to get a new mid range telephoto 50-140 from fuji and decided to put it to use. this was a single shot. I've started to incorporate more layers into my composition. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Nice timing to get the birds in the shot right above the sun. I like the colors too. Just curious, what f-stop did you use?
Hey Chris, this was shot at f4.0, I had to crank up my shutter speed to make sure that the birds were motionless, and I didn't want to much detail in the water etc.... hope that answers your questions.
Yes, thank you! I like shooting sunrise and sunset, but I always struggle to find the "best" f-stop for sunsets. Too low, you get an un-defined glow and blown-out sky, too high and you get a more defined sun and a darker (albeit colorful) sky. Fun times.
