It was an extremely windy and cold day. I was on top of the Jaufen pass in South Tyrol at sunset.
I got attracted by the reflections of the yellow sky in the snow in front of me, and took this picture.
When I got home I realized how truly beautiful the scene is, which I wasn't fully able to do on location because of the cold severily altering my perception.
Lots of post processing was needed to remove a powerline in the midground.
I consider this as my best photo since when I started with photography exactly one year ago.
All feedbacks are welcome.
I like it, but I would probably try to bring up the values of the reflected light in the snow with some careful dodging. As it is, the snow is so dark I mistook it for gray sand or dirt instead of snow. I know it's supposed to be a dimly lit scene, but it doesn't really convey the sense of being snowy. But I do love the composition.
thanks for the feedback
