I'd choose something in between, soft, muted colours.

I thought exactly what Adam said before I read his post, Marius! To my eye the blue on the boat is a bit overpowering, as the boat draws attention already by its form, size and contrast with the rest.

I love colours, but I also really like the mono - actually the most out of these three. I like the concept and composition. with those foreground rocks fading into view as you look down from the boat. Nice!

Thank you Gents... the idea i had in mind (as that was the case with me shooting this ) was that the viewer’s breath would “condensate” looking at this. - obviously i was wrong as i also didn't trim the Blue down as i usually do to see what the reactions will be. Now i know ..

I'd go even further, and remove some of the blue cast, but that's just me...

Love your edit, Adam! Now, the blue in the boat provides a welcome accent, while the overall toning is still cool, if not overtly blue. I prefer this looser crop version (i.e. using Marius' first image as the basis) with the cloud reflections at lower right adding visual interest without any sense of the image being crowded.

I dig it; I like the 3rd most. Did you use a polarizer or was the water just that clear and calm?

Thank you Chris. Yes i had the pol on

There are places here in Florida, over in Everglades National Park where the horizon similarly disappears, even in bright daylight, but I'm too scared to take my camera on a boat to capture it!

will add it to the bucket list .. thank you ... i have risked my bag a few times .. know that feeling ..

Hi marius, really a big fan of this composition, I do like how everything was set up, the rocks in the water the the boat on the side. I really do like how Adam edited the image, or your third edit.

Glad you like it Jaspreet
