Hi all, just hoping to get some feedback on this shot, since I can't quite figure out how I feel about it. I was struggling to keep my filters dry and free from spray from the waterfall, and at some point just thought I'd embrace it and try to incorporate the water droplets into the image. I was hoping for a moody, ethereal look that would convey the feeling of being wet. For the most part, I really like the bottom of the image, except perhaps for a couple spots obscured by stray water droplets. Sometimes I think the top of the image works, but other times I feel like the water droplets on the filter near the top of the waterfall/trees are too distracting.
What do you think?
I feel your pain. I think the composition could be improved if you had more sky above the waterfall to balance the image. The foreground color is great. I would go back again and again.
An all-too-familiar a view through the viewfinder, Josh!
I share your mixed feelings, leaning towards having yet another go at cleaning the filter... and covering it until I'm quite ready for the shot... and then trying yet again. And again. And...
Inclined to agree with Scott re composition - something easy to muck up by accident doing abovementioned cleaning... :- [
