#1 seems to be two separate images spliced together, in that I have trouble relating the top to the bottom. I think you are closer on #3, but I would have suggested walking forward another 10 or 20 feet so you could see the road driving into the fog,
Very interesting images, I like the perspectives and prefer #2 best with the last one showing less roadway.

I'll bet that's a heckuva snow hill.
actually photo #1 is at the top of the hill...and that hill is a heckuva hill just walking on a sunny day!
