Troy Straub's picture

Harry Lauder's Walking Stick

I was playing around with a vintage lens (Quantary 70-300 for Minolta) this morning. Not sure what gave it such a painterly look (compression from the long focal length, high ISO noise, overall softness of lens...) but I kind of like the way they came out. Pics are almost straight out of camera, just changed profile from Adobe color to Adobe landscape, resized and exported.

Nice work, Troy!

Thank you!

I enjoy work like this and do some myself, I call it Abstract Nature, Painterly as the style shows. It's less about pure clean subject but more about shapes, color and pure light. You can get lost looking into these scenes as your mind starts to wonder and imagine.... Like I said I enjoy this style.

Thank you.
