chris bryant's picture

Cadair Idris, Wales.

I did a hike a few years ago with a mate and took with me two cameras. This photo is from the Goldline, a plastic camera with a plastic lens. Film used was Tri-X semi-stand developed in Rodinal. Scanned, toned and a little crop not other editing. I thought it would be a laugh to shoot with a plastic camera.

Lomography is done using a "toy" camera with a cheap lens, totally manual, Some artists use this as a purposeful choice. If you to an image search for this term on google, you will see some amazing stuff, and some real crap. But art is very subjective.

Love it, Chris! You have a real eye and a creative streak. This image has a strong period feel, yet somehow without descending into cliché - probably simply because it's a strong, well composed image laden with atmosphere, which makes me wish I were there. Well done again. You've just earned your owh subfolder in my Fstoppers images folder!
